"A major part of my career in music has been as a saxophonist. Along the way I discovered a love for the instrument itself and pursued a rewarding journey to become a technician repairing saxophones, clarinets, and other woodwind instruments. It started with me servicing my own instruments and eventually setting up my own shop. I now have a well established business now going on 25 years with many happy customers, professional players, students, collectors, and have done work for other established repair shops in the Greater Toronto area. ​I have been inspired and mentored by the saxophone techs throughout my playing and repair career and continues to be so. Many thanks to Fred Leister, Ray Competello, Kevin Rohm, Mike Felice, Ken Fornetran, Emilio Lyons, Steve Goodson, Michael Shurman, John Weir, and my dad Al Dorge (master mechanic and fixer). ​
